Introductory course in automated process control systems Topics include: signal conditioning, instrumentation amplifiers, strain gages, motion and position sensors, force sensors, pressure sensors, level sensors, flow sensors, temperature sensors, light sensors, radiation and thickness sensors, humidity and moisture sensors, time measurement, counters, theory of measurements, measurement techniques and hardware, transmitters, process controllers, PID control, controller hardware, application of D/A and A/D controllers, actuators, and introduction to PLCs and process automation controllers
