3357:12-16-47-New Employee Onboarding & Orientation Policy
|
|
- POLICY
The Zane State College New Employee Onboarding & Orientation Program assists employees in understanding institutional values and culture, policies and procedures, prepares the employee to successfully function in the position and department, and as a result, encourages commitment to the College. Onboarding begins prior to the employee’s first day of employment, and orientation continues as needed throughout the individual’s employment. The Office of Human Resources supports this process by coordinating the onboarding program for new employees. Individual departments or divisions support the orientation process with unit specific programs.
- POLICY GUIDELINES
The responsibility for the initial orientation process is shared among the employing department or division, the new employee, and the Office of Human Resources. New hires are required to participate in onboarding as part of their new-hire probation.
