3357:12-16-39-Ethics Policy - Guidelines from Ohio’s Ethics Laws

- POLICY
Public servants are responsible for complying with the Ohio Ethics Law. The Ethics Law applies to all public officials including full-time and part-time compensated employees, elected officials, and uncompensated members of decision-making boards.
- POLICY GUIDELINES
Public agencies are statutorily required to provide a copy of the Ohio Ethics Laws to new public officials and employees, and the new public official or employee must acknowledge receipt of the law in writing. Please visit www.ethics.ohio.gov to view the Ohio Ethics Laws. The Ethics Commission is available to provide advice and assistance regarding the application of the ethics law and related statutes. Failure to abide by the Ohio Ethics Laws and related statutes, will result in discipline, which may include dismissal, as well as any potential civil or criminal sanctions under the law.
