3357:12-16-19-Retirement Programs


  1. POLICY

 

Ohio public institutions do not participate in the federal Social Security system, other than contributions to Medicare. While employed with the College, your retirement contributions must be invested with one of the following retirement systems: State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio (STRS Ohio) for full-time and adjunct faculty, School Employees Retirement System of Ohio (SERS) for full-time and part-time staff, or an Alternative Retirement Plan. The ARP is an alternative to SERS/STRS Ohio for eligible full-time faculty and full-time staff.

All eligible employees must choose one of the state retirement systems or the ARP.
