POLICY
The purpose of the Grade Point Average (GPA) Policy is to establish clear standards for calculating and evaluating student academic performance at Zane State College. This policy ensures consistency in GPA calculations, defines minimum academic expectations for good standing, honors, and graduation eligibility, and provides guidelines for academic probation, suspension, and reinstatement. It supports academic integrity, transparency, and student success by helping students understand how their coursework affects their academic progress.
SCOPE/POLICY GUIDELINES
Quality points are determined by multiplying the credit hours for a course by the grade points earned for each mark. A student’s grade point average is obtained by dividing the total number of quality points by the number of hours for courses with grades of A, B, C, D, F, and FN. Example:
