3357:12-14-62-FN Grade Assignment Guideline


The grade of FN means a failure in the course due to non-attendance, after course reporting has occurred. For on-campus courses the student stops consistently attending and for on-line courses the student stops regularly accessing course materials on the learning management system. A grade of FN is assigned when the student ceases to attend class but has not officially withdrawn. Faculty are asked to provide a last date of attendance when assigning this grade. The grade of FN and the last date of attendance are used by the college while advising students. Financial Aid may use the grade of FN when determining financial aid appeals.
