A.POLICY
This policy establishes the requirements for the archiving and retention of final exams at Zane State College to facilitate the resolution of student grade inquiries and ensure the integrity of academic records.
B.POLICY GUIDELINES
- Purpose of Archiving Final Exams
- Final exams often contribute significantly to a student’s final grade.
- Retaining final exam papers allows for discussions between faculty and students regarding final grades, especially in cases where a student questions the accuracy of their grade.
- While final grades are based on multiple factors (e.g., tests, papers, quizzes, class participation), the final exam paper serves as an essential component for grade review.
- Retention Requirement
- Each faculty member is required to retain student final exam papers for a minimum of 30 days after the end of the given semester.
- This period provides students with an opportunity to review and discuss their final grade with their instructor.
