3357:12-14-34-Course Material Selection

The faculty member(s) responsible for ownership of a course works with his/her department chair and/or division dean in selecting the appropriate course materials. Course material selections are submitted to The Campus Bookstore based on processing timelines. Faculty are expected to adhere to deadlines set by the Bookstore.
Ensuring appropriate content and readability are prime considerations for selecting course materials. A secondary consideration is that of material affordability. In order to keep the overall cost of materials low, faculty should work with the course material providers when possible to explore alternative options.
It is the faculty member’s responsibility to obtain instructor’s materials directly from the publisher. The College maintains the Bookstore for the students’ benefit by providing all required textbooks and related materials.
