3357:12-14-24-2-Student Drop Exceptions (After Drop Period) Procedures

PROCEDURE

This procedure outlines the process for dropping courses after the designated drop period.

PROCEDURE DETAILS:

Requesting Drops After the Last Day to Drop:

If a student wishes to drop a course after the official drop deadline, they must provide evidence showing they attempted to contact a Zane State College employee regarding the drop before the last day to drop (this is due to the College being closed on Friday’s and the last day to drop being on a Saturday).

Acceptable forms of evidence include:

  • Emails sent to any Zane State College employee.
  • Voicemails left for any Zane State College employee.
  • Text messages sent to any Zane State College employee.

Failure to provide this evidence will result in the student being withdrawn from the course rather than being officially dropped.

IMPLEMENTATION:

This procedure applies to all students requesting drops after the official deadline.

Faculty, advisors, and administrative staff are expected to enforce this policy and assist students in understanding their responsibilities and available options.

EFFECTIVE DATE:

This policy is effective immediately and applies to all current and future terms.
