POLICY
Student learning assessment represents an ongoing, systematic approach to establishing clear and measurable learning goals. Zane State College supports student learning assessment to understand and improve student learning and remain aligned with regional stakeholder expectations.
Information on student learning will be gathered, analyzed, and interpreted to improve teaching and learning continuously. Student learning may be assessed at the course, program, or institutional level.
One or more college-wide outcomes will be assessed in the following co-curricular activities: Honors College, Phi Theta Kappa, and TRIO. Each area will select the college-wide outcome rubric that best aligns with its activities.
Assessment fosters effective student learning, curriculum enhancement, and program development and contributes to resource allocation decisions. It is a college-wide responsibility guided by the Chief Academic Officer and the assessment committee.
