POLICY
Zane State College is committed to placing students in courses that align with their current academic skills to promote student success. This policy describes the process for assessing incoming students’ skills and placing students in courses appropriate to their skill levels. Students who transfer college- level English and/or mathematics courses may have those credits evaluated for the purpose of determining appropriate course placement. Under certain circumstances, students may request to sign a Waiver of Pre-College Courses. Students seeking this option should discuss it with their academic advisor or success coach. This policy does not describe College Credit Plus program eligibility, for which the Ohio Department of Higher Education defines rules for participation.
