A.POLICY
This policy outlines the process by which Zane State College awards academic credit for Advanced Placement (AP) exam scores, ensuring alignment with the guidelines set forth by the State of Ohio and the University System of Ohio.
B.POLICY GUIDELINES
Awarding of AP Credit
Students who achieve an AP exam score of 3 or higher will be awarded the corresponding course(s) and credit(s) for the AP subject area(s) successfully completed.
Application of Credits
General Education courses and credits earned through AP exams will be applied toward graduation and used to satisfy general education requirements, where applicable.
If a Zane State College equivalent course does not exist for the AP exam area completed, elective or area credit will be awarded within the appropriate academic discipline. These credits will be applied toward graduation where such elective credit options exist within the student’s academic major.
State of Ohio Policy Alignment
This policy follows the guidelines established by the State of Ohio through the University System of Ohio to facilitate seamless credit transfer among Ohio’s public colleges and universities.

Submission of AP Scores
Students can view their AP scores and request official score reports be sent to Zane State College by visiting the official College Board® website at https://apscore.collegeboard.org/scores.
Zane State College will accept AP scores listed on official high school transcripts, provided the transcript is received directly from the high school in a sealed envelope.
