3357:12-21-05-Foundaiton Emeritus Policy

Section I - Purpose

This policy allows the Zane State College Foundation to designate eligible Foundation board directors to a director emeritus status upon the retirement from service on board. The executive committee should consider the following guidelines when nominating directors for director emeritus status.

Section lI - Eliglbility

Eligibility for emeritus status will be:

1. Ten or more years of service on the Zane State College Foundation Board of Directors.

Section111 - Privileges

Directors emeritus will have certain privileges to include:

1. Invitations to all foundation retreats and appropriate orientations.
2. Invitations to all appropriate College and Foundation functions.
3. Mailings of College information and materials.
4. Recognition on all Board lists and printed materials.
5. Other benefits as may become available from time to time.

Section IV - Responsibilities

Responsibilities of those who accept the emeritus status will be:

1. Expected to offer continued support and participate in Foundation initiatives commensurate with abilities.
2. Invited to the College Foundation board meetings (but shall not be recognized as voting members.)
3. Asked to serve on Foundation committees and participate in fundraising and friend-raising events.
4. Having established or considering establishing a gift through a will, trust, insurance, or other planned gift.
