3357:12-18-04-Emergency Medical Procedures for Employees


POLICY

An employee (student employees included) of Zane State College who is injured or who contracts an occupational disease in the course of or arising from employment must follow the procedures outlined below:

POLICY GUIDELINES

If the illness or injury requires minor first aid treatment but is not an emergency or life- threatening situation, the employee should notify his/her immediate supervisor of the situation.The supervisor should then contact the Office of Human Resources to file an Incident and Injury Report or FROI (First Report of Injury) form. The Office of Human Resources will then file the appropriate form.

If the employee needs emergency medical attention, 911 should be dialed to receive immediate attention. In addition, security personnel should be contacted at Ext. 1111 to provide assistance.
