COMMITTEES OF THE BOARD 3357:12-11-11


Finance Committee
The Finance Committee is a fiduciary oversight arm of the Board of Trustees. Its oversight responsibility includes analyzing and monitoring, and then reporting to the Board, on the financial, investment, business, and administrative management of the College. The Committee will:

  • Review and recommend approval of the annual operating budget, including related tuition and other student fees.
  • Review biennial capital budget requests and expenditures.
  • Monitor, review, and recommend near-term and long-range financial plans with respect with respect to the Senate Bill 6 Ratio (State Financial Ratio).
  • Monitor and encourage efficiency and cost-saving efforts.

The Finance Committee is composed of three trustees, including the Chair of the Board of Trustees. The remaining two voting members are appointed annually by the Chair of the Board and may be reappointed without term limits. The Finance Committee will also include the College Treasurer and College President as an ex-officio members. The Finance Committee will meet at least once annually to review the operational budget and the Senate Bill 6 Ratio. Additional meetings may be called by the Chair of the Finance Committee or by any (2) members of the committee.


Ad Hoc Committees
The Chair of the Board of Trustees shall appoint ad hoc committees as deemed necessary by the Board. An ad hoc committee shall report recommendations to the Board for appropriate action. An ad hoc committee shall be dissolved when its report is complete and accepted by the Board.
