OFFICERS-BOARD OF TRUSTEES 3357:12-11-07
The Trustees shall elect a Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer.
The Treasurer must be the fiscal officer of the College and may not be a Trustee. The Treasurer may also serve as secretary. ORC Section 3357.10 | Election of treasurer of district.
The Chair of the Board will appoint a three-person nominating committee at the September Board meeting in the even-numbered calendar years.
The nominating committee will prepare a slate of officers for presentation at the November meeting. The committee does not need to present more than one person per office.
All offices will be for a two-year term which will start in January of the odd-numbered years.
A Trustee may serve as a Chair for multiple terms but may not serve more than two consecutive terms.
The Vice-Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer will not be subject to term limitations.
A majority vote of the membership shall elect the slate of officers. Elected officers shall serve at the pleasure of the Board. Each officer shall perform the legal duties of the
office and such other functions as designated by the Board.
Officer Vacancies
The Chair is authorized to fill officer vacancies via appointment as appropriate. The appointee will fill the remainder of the vacated term.
