3357:12-11-06-Censure or Removal of a Trustee

CENSURE OR REMOVAL OF A TRUSTEE 3357:12-11-06
Upon the recommendation of the Chair or the Vice Chair, any Trustee can be sanctioned, to include censure or removal from the Board with a majority vote. The basis for a
recommendation should be based on a violation of the ORC sections 3357.06 and 2921.42 or the ETHICAL AND PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT OF A TRUSTEE section of
the Board of Trustees By-Laws.
The following process is required for the censure or removal of a Trustee.
- The request must be initiated by a sitting Trustee and presented to the Chair or Vice Chair, as appropriate.
- The Chair or Vice Chair notifies the President to add the topic to the next Board meeting.
- The Trustee in question is provided an advanced notification of intended action.
- This process requires a formal roll call vote.
