DATA 2000 - Introduction to Data Science Credits: 3 Lecture: 2 Lab: 3
This course provides an overview of how data science is applied across industries to generate insights and guide decision-making. Students will explore the use of consumer and organizational data in real-world contexts and learn methods for curating and managing datasets. The course introduces statistical modeling techniques used for estimation and prediction, emphasizing how the models support data-driven solutions. Students will also enhance their data visualization skills to effectively communicate analytical results. Through hands-on projects, students gain practical experience with tools and methods utilized in the foundation of data science practice.
