MECH 2600 - Machine Design

Credits: 3 Lecture: 2 Lab: 2

Study of design and determination of the size and shape of various machine components such as bearings, brakes, shafts, fasteners, gears, drive belts/chains, and flywheels. Utilizes previously learned CAD knowledge including solid modeling. A term project is required as well as a capstone proficiency exam.

Prerequisite: MECH 1100
