HIMT 2400 - Insurance Reimbursement Methodologies

Credits: 2 Lecture: 2 Lab: 0

A study of the principles and practice of insurance and reimbursement processing including the compliance environment, payers, and reimbursement vocabulary. In addition, this course includes the completion of CMSUB04 and CMS1500 claims for inpatient, outpatient, and physician office encounters, EDI billing technologies, as well as claims processing and revenue cycle management.

Prerequisite: HIMT 1500  and HIMT 2150
