HIMT 1300 - Health Information Management and Data Governance

Introduction to the evolution of health information systems and the complexities of data flow. Study the roles, functions, and practices for successfully managing healthcare data as an enterprise set and explore enterprise function such as data governance, data architecture, metadata management, master data management, data security management, business intelligence, and terminology and classification systems within healthcare departments or business unit context.
