FYEX 1040 - First Year College and Career Exploration Experiences

In this course students formulate a life plan that includes transitioning successfully to college into a career plan that suits their interest. The course provides opportunities for students to examine personal interests, characteristics and motivations relative to an appropriate career path. It familiarizes students with the increased personal responsibilities and faculty expectations on a college campus as well as common student related policies and procedures. Course participants will focus on college success strategies related to 21st Century skills, study strategies, goal setting, and utilizing Zane State College’s technology, supports, and resources. Students will also have the opportunity to explore various career pathways so they are equipped to make career choice best suited to their needs and interests.
