ACCT 2850 - Accounting Practicum
Credits: 1-2 Lab: 105 clock hours per credit hour
Directed work experience allowing the student to apply classroom knowledge and discover aspects of the workplace in a supervised setting. Students encounter the application process, on the job instruction by accounting professionals, and evaluations. The practicum is coordinated by a faculty member of the college who assists the student in planning the experience, visits the practicum site for a conference with the student and his/her supervisor at least once during the semester, and assigns the course grade to the student after the appropriate consultation with the employer/supervisor.
